Scavenger Hunt Tomorrow - Wear warm clothes, shoes, a hat, scarf and mittens.

Talent Show Tomorrow - bring everythng that you will need for your performance (i.e instruments, costumes, etc.)

Potluck Lunch Tomorrow - Remember to bring your own plate, cutlery and cup.  Those of you bringing a dish, make sure to bring a serving utensil as well.

Bring in a piece of non-perishable food for the Kamloops Food Bank by Friday at the very latest.

Sciences - Finish review questions #1-9, 13, 15, 17, 18 for Friday.  We will be marking them on Friday , so if you are not going to be there, I would suggest that you give them to someone you trust to mark so that you will have the necessary information to study.  The test will be on Wednesday, Dec. 14th.  You should be studying the new vocabulary words on a nightly basis.  Use the cue card method that I suggested in class.

As a class we have decided to do a Secret Santa next week.  Here are the rules:

1. Your gift(s) may not be valued at more than $10.00
2. You need to bring something every day, or every second day.  This may be either a small gift or treat, or it could be a clue as to what the gift will be or who is the gift giver.
3. You need to keep your identity secret, so don't tell your friends who you have chosen.  If you see someone delivering a gift to someone, please do not tell the receiver of the gift who delivered the gift. You may ask someone to deliver your gift in order to trick your person.
4. On Friday we will reveal the identity of the Secret Santas.
5. As there were some students missing today, we will be drawing names for Secret Santas on Friday, but this doesn't mean that you can't start brainstorming gift ideas and making gifts right away.

This is supposed to be for fun, and is not supposed to cause any stress on anyone.  Please make sure to abide by the rules so that no one feels left out.

PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCING:  I am available to meet with you all week (Monday and Thursday from 2:45 -4 :30, Tuesday from 1:00 - 3:30 and Wednesday from 1:00 - 3:00).  You can either come by the room to sign up for a time, or send me an e-mail of a time that works for you and I will slot you in.  As this is more of a get to know you/goal setting meeting, I prefer to meet with both the student and his/her parents.

Me to We - Meet at SKSS at 3:15am.  Have Fun and sleep well tomorrow night.  We will be watching the broadcast tomorrow between recess and lunch, so make sure to smile and wave if you see a camera pointed at yourself.

Back At It

Good afternoon

Today was great and I couldn't be happier to be back at school.  The students created a wonderful banner to welcome me back and I've never felt so special.

There is some homework tonight:

1. Math - Section 1.5 sheet (due tomorrow)
2. Projet sur les desatres naturelles - (due Friday)
3. Science - Fiche de mots cles - (due tomorrow)

Welcome Back

You have made it.  You are finally in Grade 7.  I am looking forward to working with you all this year to get you ready for High School next year.

This is my first year doing a blog, so please be patient with me as I learn all the ins and outs of communicating with you in this manner.  I will be posting homework assignments daily, so there will be no excuse for any of you not to have your homework done.

I'll be back to school on Monday, October 3rd.  See you then!
